For centuries, the Cardinal has been a symbolic messenger from Heaven providing comfort, reassurance and cheer when we have lost someone close to us that we love, appearing at times of great grief. There are countless stories supporting this belief and that they are special creatures, displaying confidence and resilience regardless of their surroundings or climate. They are also said to “represent balance as they serve as a powerful representation of a family, given parent cardinals live a well-balanced family life, giving both (parents) the chance to take care of and nurture their kids in turn.” They are protective, nurturing, communicate well through song, and provide hope to those experiencing loss. For these reasons, I believe we can learn some important lessons from their behavior.
