What age ranges do you treat?
At this time, I am accepting clients who are 18 or older.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of TN, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Amerigroup. I also accept private pay if you do not wish to utilize your health insurance. At this time, I’m working to update my affiliation with the following insurance panels: Beacon, Magellan, Multiplan, Tricare East, and Triwest – Veteran’s Choice.
Do you have a sliding scale rate?
Yes, I offer a sliding scale rate for individuals who qualify for a financial need. If you would like to pursue this avenue, you will need to bring a copy of your last filed tax return to show proof of income to determine an appropriate rate.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, check or credit card. For your convenience, I also have an Ivy Pay account should you prefer it.
What is your rate per session?
If I am in-network with your insurance, my rate will vary based on my contracted rate with each applicable insurance panel. However, if you choose to forego utilizing insurance to offset the cost of counseling, my private-pay rate is $140 per therapy hour T-F. This rate applies for both telehealth or in-person sessions. Please note that your first Intake session will be billed at a higher amount overall, as it is a more involved process and will take on average 1.5 hours to complete. The same applies to some EMDR sessions, as these sessions will also be longer in length (typically 75-90 minutes). Please see the attached information related to a Good Faith Estimate.

What documents do I need to bring to my first appointment?
Once you have made an Intake appointment, if you are a Telehealth client I will forward the Intake forms to you for you to complete prior to your Intake appointment. As for In-person Intakes, forms will be completed during your Intake appointment. Please be sure to bring your insurance card with you to your appointment as well as proof of custody, if applicable.
Do you offer evening or weekend hours?
Yes, currently my office hours are by appointment only Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10-7pm and Wednesday 10-6pm.
How long are your counseling sessions?
Session times run 53-60 minutes in length and 75-90 minutes for EMDR sessions.
How do you prefer to be notified in the event I need to cancel my appointment?
While I can appreciate that unforeseen circumstances arise sometimes, I do require a 24-hour notice in the event you are unable to attend your session. Calling is the best way to reach me. If I am unable to answer the phone, please leave a message. If I am not notified 24-hours in advance regarding need to cancel a session, there will be a cancellation charge for the missed session at a rate of $30.
